There are various types of Notices the MLS compliance department may send.
Every Notice follows the same general format.
- The subject line will tell you what kind of notice is being sent and for what MLS number it is for.
- The type of notice is also displayed at the top of the main body.
- The next section will contain the date the notice was sent, the board whos rules and regulations are being used for the notice, your NRDS ID and Name, the email addresses the notices was sent to (typically you and your broker), and finally a link to the Rules and Regulations.
- The body of the notice will tell you all the information you need about the type of notice you are receiving. This will describe in general terms what is expected from receiving this notice. It could be submitting documentation, making a correction, fine processes, etc. This will also be where the standard time from for a response will be conveyed.
- The final section of the notice is the issue specific to the listing. In this box there will be the listing details (including MLS number and address), the amount if there was a fine or credit issues, the rule name that the listing is in violation of, a general description of the violation, the instructions required, and the notes if there is anything else or more specific that needs mentioning. At the very bottom of the box is also the fields and values of the listing that were part of the violation, if applicable.
